Violent Movies
Recently many of the new movies are so violent. All of these movies are rated R but parents still let their kids go and see them. These movies are much too violent for kids that are like 9 or 10 years old. First off these new movies are much too bloody and gory for young kids. And just like with violent video games kids could turn out to be serial killers like in the movies that they see. For example my friends little brother just got done watching a fighting movie and all he wanted to do was punch and kick people. Although this isn’t an example of how violent movies might make kids into lunatics it shows how kids a lot of the times repeat a lot of what they see in movies or on TV. These new movies are also to graphic for kids because in the past you could tell what was real and what was fake in violent movies, but now the graphics look so real that kids might actually think that it is real even when its not. Like for example hostel is a very graphic movie because everything looks so real but it’s actually computer animated to make it look real. Also when the movie is rated R it means that it is supposed to be for grownups but they are still usually seen by kids more than adults. I think that the people who sell tickets at the movies should obey the law and make sure that to get into movies you have to be the right age instead of letting 12 year old kids go see a rated R movie without adults because I have gone to R rated movies before without adults and they let me in. so they shouldn't break the law just to make a little extra money.
